3D Technology
3D FULL HD
The realistic ambience and powerful depth in VIERA’s FULL HD 3D TV blurs the boundaries between TV and reality. The exciting experience of FULL HD 3D is poised to become the new standard, in home entertainment and Panasonic’s VIERA FULL HD 3D Plasma delivers the ultimate HD 3D viewing experience.
How do our eyes recognize 3-Dimensional images?
The distance between the left and right eyes cause each eye to view an object from a slightly different angle. When the brain interprets these slightly different images, it naturally perceives a sense of depth and dimension. Panasonic’s FULL HD 3D system alternately displays images shot from slightly different angles to simulate how we perceive depth in nature.

Frame sequential method
Panasonic uses full-HD frame sequential playback to achieve a level of reality that far exceeds conventional 3D systems; it’s the same method used in Hollywood’s 3D films. This system uses separate images recorded in 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution for both the left and right eyes which are alternately displayed at 120 frames per second. When combined with Panasonic’s 3D eyewear and the outstanding picture quality of VIERA Plasma the results are amazing.

Improved gradation for 2D images
The high-speed processing capability of VIERA 3D televisions doubles the gradation capability of 2D images in comparison with conventional models. This produces incredibly detailed shading with a tonal expression close to the levels we see in nature.

New high-speed phosphors
New High-Speed Phosphors are used to reduce afterimage time to 1/3 that of conventional phosphors while simultaneously expanding the range of colour reproduction. As a result, brighter, sharper images are possible for both 2D and 3D content.

FULL HD 3D image display technology
Panasonic’s VT series of VIERA Televisions can display detailed 3D images that make you feel as if you’ve stepped right into the action. Clear, FULL HD 3D images are produced by combining three new technologies; High-Speed 3D Drive, High Speed Phosphors and a High-Speed Moving Picture Process. Super-fast light emissions display FULL HD 3D images at 120 frames per second, while maintaining optimum brightness. This increases moving picture resolution and further enhances the quality of 2D images.

High-speed 3D drive technology
Panasonic uses High-Speed 3D Drive technology in its 3D VIERA televisions to achieve an amazing level of image quality for HD 3D images. The clarity of images on this VIERA series was improved by reducing the luminescence time of each frame, and brightness was enhanced by increasing the light output intensity.

Crosstalk reduction
When the High-Speed Drive technology used in the GT/VT series televisions is combined with Panasonic’s new high-speed phosphors, a dramatic reduction of crosstalk is visible. This allows VIERA HD 3D models to deliver exceptionally clear 3D images.
